StartHubs AsiaBerlinFostering startup ecosystems through economic cooperation and cultural exchange
Ecosystems become more interconnected, startup teams become more diverse.
In an ever more interdependent society, we want to shed light on four important startup hubs and build an open platform to connect these ecosystems with each other and beyond. The German-Asian startup platform StartHubs AsiaBerlin is a project established by the State of Berlin in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). It is supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
It involves German and Asian stakeholders from startup hubs that are responsible for creating productive ecosystems. The platform between the startup hubs Berlin, Manila, Jakarta and Bangalore enables the professionalization and direct cooperation between start-ups. This will be facilitated by a structured communication and cooperation between the coordinators of the Hubs. As a result, an international startup ecosystem should be established. StartHubs AsiaBerlin offers the opportunity to develop innovative solutions for relevant global challenges. It aims at increasing the quality of the startups in the three partner cities, in terms of a post-industrial sustainable economic growth.
